On June 1, 2026, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia issued a Decision granting the company "Mega Group 21" d.o.o. approves the start of business in the regime of the Free Zone Pirot.
The investment is being realized in the Beleš work zone in Dimitrovgrad, on a location of 19.000 m². Infrastructural conditions for the start of the project implementation have been provided, including a fenced and illuminated area, premises for the work of the customs and security services, while works on the construction of communal and fire protection infrastructure are underway.
The owner of the company "Mega Group 21" d.o.o., Mr. Cvetan Cvetanov expressed his satisfaction with the efficiency of the implementation of all activities and thanked the local self-government of Dimitrovgrad and the institutions involved in the project for their professional support during the preparation of the investment and that the start of the construction of production and storage-logistics capacities is planned for the middle of June 2026, while the completion of the first phase of the project is expected in March 2027.
The CEO of Free Zone Pirot, Mr. Vladimir Ilić, assessed that the arrival of a new investor represents a significant step in the further economic development of Dimitrovgrad and the Pirot district.
"We are especially pleased by the fact that this investment will bring new jobs, development of production and logistics capacities and additionally confirm the competitiveness of the Pirot Free Zone as a reliable business destination for domestic and foreign investors," said Ilić.
The realization of this project represents another confirmation that the Free Zone Pirot, in cooperation with local self-governments and state institutions, creates conditions for sustainable economic growth and attracting new investments.
